What does it actually mean to protect someone?

For me, “I care about you” isn't enough by itself.

I noticed I had written the same idea in different places.

Spend time on them. Spend energy. Spend money.

And if something really happens, have a body capable of lifting them and carrying them to a hospital.

To me, love isn't only a feeling. It's also the time, strength, and resources I can actually use.
