What does it mean to become an adult?

I used to think adulthood meant adding things: knowledge, experience, money, titles.

But I also wrote that once you're an adult, the real challenge may be how much of a child you can become again.

Instead of always adding, maybe I need to strip away shame, ego, and the things I no longer need.

That can be harder.
