What do you mean by loving with the risk of being ruined?

I'm not saying everyone should love this way. I'm talking about the way I experience love. If I'm going to love someone wholeheartedly without knowing the outcome, I think I also have to accept that I might get hurt. And when I say “ruined,” I don't mean dying. I mean being hurt enough to lose hope for a while. I've been there. But if I decide to live, then I live again. Slowly I come back. Eventually I become able to love again. Maybe, for me, life is a series of doing exactly that.
