How much does the environment you grew up in define you?

Of course it affects you. Some things were completely outside my control.

But I don't think the environment that raised me has to own me. I can still build the person I become from here.

I can't change where I came from.

But I can still choose how I raise myself from this point on. That's where I want to spend my time.
